The Medulla Review
Dispossessed by Gary Beck

Intense, profound, and engaging, "Dispossessed reveals the yearning of so many of us to belong, so easily alienated in this challenging life." From the first lines of the first poem—"I left a town of wood and brick/and reached a tortured city,/heart of steel,/soul of glass"—until the last poem, Gary reaches into the maelstrom of contemporary life and crafts verse full of relevant insight.
